Andrea Denniston

Andrea completed her undergraduate studies at West Virginia University. During this time she traveled to Jingdezhen, China for a semester to study traditional Chinese porcelain.  She returned 2 years later with the help of the Regina Brown Undergraduate Fellowship for a more concentrated study of qinghua (blue and white underglaze decoration.)

Andrea then received her MFA at Syracuse University. Prior to beginning her graduate studies, Andrea worked as a studio assistant to potter Silvie Granatelli in Floyd, VA for 2 years.  Following graduation she returned to Floyd, VA to pursue a life as a studio potter along side fellow potter Seth Guzovsky at Poor Farm Pottery.
